We, the teachers, staff, parents and community members, commit to working to create a culture in which our children will be safe, respected, and academically empowered to become socially conscious, productive members of society.
Students are academically empowered through exemplary team-planning that incorporates differentiated, data-driven instruction, and research-based instructional practices that align with the Common Core Standards to meet the needs of all students. In order to achieve academic excellence, the teachers and staff ensures that each child feel safe and respected in an engaging environment.
A Message from the Principal
Hello Parents and Guardians,
The school year is well underway and even with the budget cuts, everyone has worked together to make it work somehow and for that, I thank you. The next item to tackle is your support at home with homework and getting your child to bed early so we can reduce the number of lateness.
Breakfast is served from 8:30-8:45 and Dr. Hite, the School Superintendent, agrees that a child learns best when he has been fed breakfast to jumpstart his/her school day.
Emergency Contact Forms have sent home and must be returned by the child immediately. In case of an emergency, we MUST be able to reach you.
Lastly, ask your child’s teacher how you can volunteer at Sheridan. parents who get involved have children that achieve academic success.

“Sheridan is a warm and inviting school with equally warm and dedicated teachers and staff. I look forward to getting to know your child (ren) by name and conversing with you around the school, in the schoolyard, and in the office.”
“Providing all students with the academic, technological & social skills needed to be productive & contributing citizens in our society.”
